Measure from your cutting edge to the top outside edge of your bucket. See Fig. 1
Add 4” to your measurement. This is your minimum fork height. Most bucket forks will be a little longer that your minimum height, they should never be shorter that this dimension.
Choose either a 42 or 48” fork length.
Backhoes or similar machines

Add 5” to your measurement. This is your minimum fork height. Most bucket forks will be a little longer that your minimum height, they should never be shorter that this dimension.
Choose shaft length. All Pro Forks is the only one that offers a custom shaft length up to 87” at no additional charge!
Choose your hook profile. Most Case backhoes will use the Case style hook. Clam shell and other backhoes will generally use the J style hook.
Most kits offer a standard 48 or 60” fork blade length. Custom sizes and higher capacity kits can be fashioned to suit any application.
All bucket fork kit set ups are virtually the same.
The hooks are welded to the top of your bucket. We recommend that they be evenly spaced, but the hooks can be positioned in virtually any spacing configuration.
Thread the shaft through the pre-welded bushing on the back of the fork.
Place the included washers on each end of the shaft.
Insert and secure the kit pins into the pre-drilled hole on each end.
To attach and use the bucket forks, drive your machine up to the back side of your fork set (with the bar installed as described above).
Roll your bucket forward to a dumping position and use the welded hooks to “grab” the shaft.
Lift your bucket and roll back to the normal operating position until the back of the forks contact your cutting edge, effectively locking your forks into place.
That’s it! You are in business, now go pick something up!
