A bale spike is a long piece of steel used for moving square or round bales of hay on farms. Depending on what part of the country your at, also known as bale spears, hay spears, bale forks, bale tines among many others. A bale spike also comes in many sizes and different applications depending on your machine or needs to get your job done. Our bale spikes come with either a 3,000 pound or 3,500 pound rating but all our bale spikes are tested at a 30″ workload which is typically the center of a 5′ x 6′ round bale. All the competitors test at a 24″ center which makes their ratings higher and aren’t accurate and very misleading.
